After a lot of careful consideration, my husband and I decided to make some changes to Carolina Joy Photography.
Most of you know that my dear husband is a Captain in the Air Force- something I am insanely proud of, but something that also means our life isn’t quite normal. We have the joy of moving every 3-4 years, which does make running a small wedding photography business somewhat challenging. With our next move looming over head, I wanted to make sure that wherever we go next, I’ll still be able to provide clients with the best possible services.
I was wary that “Carolina Joy” might confuse some people, considering there are other like-wise named photography companies. The other thought behind today’s news was that we won’t be in North Carolina for very much longer.
So baring all of this in mind, we came up with a new name that I feel absolutely represents all of the beautiful people I’ve been fortunate to work with and just like that (okay, there was still a lot of work involved) Sweet Dahlia Wedding Photography was born!
I chose the Dahlia as a flower to represent my beautiful clients because the flower is extremely complex, but also maintains clean lines that make the complexity not overwhelming. The flower is delicate and demur, but is actually very strong. It also blooms in the two seasons my clients seem to blossom the most: spring and fall. It seemed like a perfect petal pairing for the wondering people I’ve been gifted to work with.
The new website is up and running and I’m really excited about how it turned out, so I definitely think you should take a look at it!
Just so you know, Carolina Joy’s website will be up for another month or so before it automatically directs to the new site so you can still see everything here for now, but soon it’ll all get transferred over
Thank you for your love and support! We’re both really excited for what our future holds
